Need to buy tickets for the weekend conference in Hartford, and plane tickets. Saw a dead body for the first time. Need to exercise, bike more! Put up some more fliers, finished some forms, need to get them out. Lots of things to do.

Tuesday May 25

Woke up freezing, why did Brooklyn turn off the heat? Emailed MR on ZS's suggestion. Hung out with BR, revised a flier, posted it up a few places, had a great conversation with OSB, major thanks to HH. On Monday, met with LC, and LC also, at Teachers College. Did the first groceries in Brooklyn, went to Eastern and picked up Red Label tea. Went to DCHS to fulfill my curiousity.  When am I going to play basketball?!?!? Queens is better than Brooklyn... or is it?

Saturday May 22

Went to Stuy for the MUNA/MANY conference, got to set up a poster and was considered a vendor. Met some lovely people, and was impressed by the level of organization. It was mostly set up by high school kids. Met MZ, MZ, DA, HH, and a range of other good folks.

Thursday May 20th

Met MA, and Dr B on CIAve. Ordered business cards, spent some time around the local elementary school playground. Offered BR to take the goods to Flushing.  Spent a couple of hours from around 5 to around 7 there today.

Weds May 19

Today, I walked up to Avenue C, spent some time on CIAve, some some nice people. Set up for the conference on Saturday, and lent out Eboo Patel's book. Also met S.R and S.A at Gourmet who were very accommodating. Yesterday I spent the day at home, but dropped by the Child Center of NY. Met up with IM and ES. Apparently Gourmet is setting up in Queens as well.

tuesday may 18

spent some time in brighton beach, saw kashkar the uighur place, need to stop by some time soon. rode approximately 30 miles, secured a place to stay for the summer. spoke to MZ at SEP for a few minutes, prayed asr at m.masjid again.

First post, summaries of work done up until now

Lots of stuff already happened, happening, and hopefully will happen. Here's an account of what's happened so far. Spoke with a few individuals, and got some suggestions for what to focus on. Developed a research proposal, got some feedback, rewrote it, and then got more feedback, and then totally rewrote it again. Major thanks to the colloquium, students and faculty especially CH, LC, LC, BB, JVT, JDW, KV, and SP among many many others. Spoke with UM, RR for great direction, NB for contacts. Lots of stuff to do now...
